Anyone have an opinion as to the best way of losing the check engine light in regards to the automatic trans not being in the car anymore.I have heard that the automatic trans function could be turned off with a tuner or a custom flash,but im not sure which tuner or who to get to flash my puter.
id rather the tuner route,because I need a tuner anyway.the people who sell the sniper tuning unit said they thing it will accomplish that,but they seemed kinda unsure.
or what about swapping the computer from a manual car?I thought I read a post a while back where
someone did that and the car wouldnt start,something to do with the pats function.
after searching im gathering that since my car is a 96 and as long as I get a manual puter from a 96-97 that it should start since on those years the pats is in the dash not the computer.
