375 RWHP w/out S/C, Turbo, cams??

How realistic is it to think I could get my '07 GT to push out 375hp at the rear wheels without supercharger/turbo/cams? I was thinking of maxing out on the CAI
tuner
UDP
headers
high flow cats
exhaust
throttle body
etc. ...

Am I a newbie moron???

without cams, you wont even come close. you are going to have to bite the bullet and either open up the motor, or use a power adder.

part of me wishes Ford hadn't extended the powertrain warranty. . . now i feel i should wait to open up the engine until i'm out of warranty range. . .

on the other hand, at least i have a warranty

you will not hit 350rwhp without some sort of a power adder, including cams. it wont happen. I think the most i have heard of was 336rwhp on 100octane tune. that is like 385hp at the crank or so.

I'm curious, I've seen things like larger oil pans and electric water pumps and carbon fiber drive shafts on RPM Outlet with claims of xx added horsepower. What's the consensus on that stuff? I'm assuming that, like everything, it depends on what you're doing and what you're willing to spend to get there!!??!

you will not get there period, a driveshaft only allows the engines existing power to get to the tires more efficiently. Electric water pump wont benefit that much. larger oil pan will not increase horsepower.

Lets put it this way. Unless your car puts out 400 engine horsepower, it will not put out 350 to the wheels. bolt on parts will never net a gain of 100 horsepower. never. even with $50,000 you will not get a 350whp car with intake, exhaust, pulleys tune and lightweight drivetrain.


you need some way of gettiing more air and fuel into the engine, cams, blower and nitrous all do that.

an intake and exhaust do not, it allows the engine to run its maximum efficiency, while the stock parts are inefficinet therefore they make less power by restriction. A fully unrestricted setup cannot produce 350rwhp on this car. period.

Lighter driveshaft and windage tray(in your oil pan) will only free up some of the 300 HP you already have. It will not add any, but every little bit does help if that's the direction you are heading.

yeah, i hear what you're saying. for me, it's more the principle of the thing. it's along the same lines as all those who work for a large company for DECADES under the promise of a pension, only to have the company say "oh, jeez, we forgot to put money aside for that! oopsie daisy!" and they continue to pay their executives ungodly piles of money even as the employees continue to get ***** on. . . obviously, ford didn't just extend the warranty for no reason. same with gm, hyundai, honda, etc. the principle is "you buy our product and we'll take care of you." i'm not naive enough to believe all of it, but it's nice on the EXTREMELY RARE occasion that i deal with a business/individual that truly stands by what they sell. does Craftsman make a muscle car????
