I recently purchased a 390 big block and it came with the block spacer and flywheel for an auto transmission. I have a 4 speed manual but I am not sure if the block spacer is the same for the automatic as the manual? I have seen pictures on-line with the description noting it both ways?

Thanks in advance for your help!!

The auto spacer has a cutout at the bottom to access the flexplate bolts, otherwise it'll work on a manual transmission too if need be. You might not be able to bolt the access panel on though.

Do you have a picture of the spacer?

Come to think of it, the manual spacer may be the same as the manual FE bells had a removeable bottom cover that covered the bottom of the flywheel

It does have a removable "adjustment" cover. Some of the other spacer that I have seen have a larger hole at the top instead of the three holes....

Perfect, thank you for helping clear it up. It looks like it is the same plate for both automatics and manuals.

There are actually a couple of different plates. The difference is in the access holes above the crank. They are interchangeable, though. They fit either auto or manual bellhousing the same, and align correctly with both the auto and manual inspection covers.
