3G alt and water

I have a 3G alt that I have installed. I also installed a vortech supercharger. It relocates the Alt the bottom. My concern is if I drive during a rain shower or even through a puddle, will the Alt fry. Does anyone have experience regarding this issue?

When I first saw the title I thought it was going to be about an extractor hood. I know those seem to give the alt. a good bath when water is applied (in the original position). I was thinking about getting an extractor hood one day, but now not so much.
