3G alt rebuild question

Let's try this over here, nobody in 5.0tech seems to know the answer.

I'm hoping someone can tell me what the proper procedure is for removing the rear bearing on a 3G alt? I tried prying on it a little, but it wasn't moving and I'm worried I'll screw something up.

You need an alternator bearing puller. The type I've seen has tapered plates that clamp around the bearing, then the puller threads into the plates.
