Keep frying these pups like smores.

just got it yesterday, started up perfect(new starter, alt, bat, voltage regulator)
put it in at the store, after i left my friends house last night, second time starting it up, the starter was locked in the on position. I was on a hill and have no e-brake. So i stuck it in gear and held the break, after some time of turning to on position it finally stopped trying to start up. I did this twice, then my friend realized something was wrong and came out. I had him get ready to unplug the battery, but then it worked fine. (im thinking, small glitch) So i drive home and this morning it locked in on position real good. i pulled the wire from the solenoid that goes to the starter. If i touch it against the solenoid without key in car, it still kicks over.

Bad solenoid? ***ty car? any ideas on fix?
there are 3 fusible link wires on the solenoid with the battery cable.
correct me if im wrong

Sounds like the ignition switch is not releasing. When it does this, pull the small wire off of the relay(solenoid) and see if the starter stops. Operation is with ignition turned to start position, it feeds 12vdc to the starter relay which engages the starter. If pulling the wire stops the starter, you have an igniton switch problem, or a weird short feeding voltage to the start wire from the switch. :) joe b
