4.10's and traction..

I agree to a point? If your using street tires at the track with 4:10s its not really worth it! Why even use that gear?
My 99GT(typical bolt ons) had 100shot and BFGs DRs and pulled some consistent low 1.9 60ft times and high 12s @ 110mph! i switched to MT/ET streets and wow what a diference 4k launch 1.8 60 ft and 12.3s - 12.5s @ 108-110mph and it was not running out of gear.

I do have a set of 28" BFG drag radials, just didn't have them mounted on the car for that particular trip to the track. That is CRAZY to hear the difference between the BFG's and M/T's is that much!

You're comparing BFG drag radials(stiff sidewall) to an ET Street(softer sidewall). Completely different tires.

I run the MT Drag radials(also stiff sidwall), and they are slightly better than my BFG drag radials. No where near an ET Street.

OP, seat time is your best friend, then a set of drag radials. They allow you to be more consistant. Once you up the power, and go with a clutch that bites hard, drag radials will become an enemy like street tires are to you now.
