this is 100 percent right. taller tires will lact like a numericaly lower gear ratio. so with the use of different height tires you can custom tune your setup and go thru the traps right where you want.

So if I went with 18" bullits with 315 Nittos I would be ok??

N/A or with a blower? 3.73's or 4/10's? Depends on what tire height you go with.

How about gearing for the street? I rarely go to the track, and want a fun setup. Tim will be outfitting me with a Novi 2000 and I'll be running Nitto DR's....315/30-17's.

3.55's or 3.73's?

Why such short tires? Do you already have them? I would go with 315/35/17's.
