4.10s in the 1/4 mile

With the 4.10's you'll have to shift to fourth gear around 90-95mph, this depends on your shift points and will result in quicker et's. You should be able to trap the 1/4 mile in third gear with stock gears and no power adder (turbos,blowers,nitrous). Now, shifting to fourth gear with stock gears and no power adder will slow you down. If you are making enough rwhp that you are forced to shift to fourth gear a few feet before the finish with the stock gears then 4.10's are what you need so you can benefit from being in fourth for a longer time. 4.10 gears will force a 3-4 shift but you will improve your et's undoubtedly. What determines a good et? getting off the line quick. and 4.10s improve that A LOT.

Yea, you'll have to shift into 4th. I pass through the traps in 3rd at 6200 rpms with the stock gears so it only makes sense.

I am still wanting to switch to 4.10's I have 3.73's but that is because it is my daily driver. 3.73's will give you a little more "ooomph!" than stock without the need to shift and shift and shift so much lol. And you have a lil' more high end for long drives without the increased rpm.

But...I still long for the 4.10's someday
