ok, so i got the modding bug again.. for those who don't know here is my mods thus far..

95 GT AODe
3.55s, Headers, O/R H-pipe, 2chamber catback, U/D Pulleys, CAI, 70mm TB, 73mm MAF, Trick Flow Street heat upper, 1.7 "cobra" roller rockers..

there is a few more but they don't matter, or non-performance.. anyways.. got the modding bug again and here is my train of thought..

with the Street Heat Intake and the 1.7s the low end bark of the car is hesitant.. it pulls nice up top, so i was think 4.10s would make it get to that sweet spot quicker, and the 3.55 is nice for a daily driver, but I only drive this car to go fast..

I promised myself i wasn't going to feed this money pit, but gears aren't that bad, if traction goes, i was think of some nitto 555r 275/40 for the back (I need new tires anyways)

and after that, if the tranny can hold, i was going with some cheap heads b/c i think the nice ones wouldn't be forgiving to the aode..

so it's either 4.10s or a tremec 3550, and i don't want to blow all my money...

sorry the post is weird, and long..had to get it all in there..

4.10's would certainly be a lot cheaper than a 3550.

yes, and me being a broke college student doesn't help in that matter.. I posted this on a halfway automotive forum, and they didn't think it was a good idea..

oh, and I hardly ever drive the stang, but come summer time, i go the track almost every week, so I like to do better then last year.. I actually hurt my time with the 1.7s and street heat intake..

I drive mine year 'round and commute 40 miles to school 3 days a week. 4.10's do plenty fine for me. It was a pretty decent jump from 3.55.

that's another reason i wanted 4.10s .. I was hopping the lower gear would be that seat of the pants difference it was when i got 3.55s..
