4.2 stroker kit?

I'm not sure how this works. I was looking at a 4.2 stroker kit, and I was wondering what does it exactly do? Does it add HP? What would I gain if I bought it? I was just wondering if anybody knew anything about this. Thanks for the responses.

It adds both horsepower and torque. It uses a different crank that makes the pistons travel farther up and down than the stock crank, increasing displacement. More displacement = more power.

This is not an easy kit to install for some extra power. You will need to pull the engine and essentially do a full rebuild.
