You can use your stock crank.Other than that just some forged H beam rods, and some forged dished pistons for your nitrous setup. You might want to look into the modular stroker build up on your block or there are companies like DSS who have a 5.0 modular stroker complete block for around $3600.that might not be the right price but its somewhere in that neighborhood. Also if your wanting 500 hp your gonna need to look into cams ,a pi swap and lots more nitrous.

Your kind of gonna have to waste some money if your going from Nitrous to blower/turbo. They need opposite engine set ups. Blower needs low compression, nitrous needs as high a compression ratio as you can get/want. Nitrous will work with a blower bottom end but you will lose power. Think about everything before you do it. Ask lots of questions. You will never see 500rwhp without upgrading your fuel system. You'll be lean as hell if you don't get bigger injectors, minimum 42's and you'll need way better fuel delivery such as dual cobra pumps and tank or after market. She's gonna get expensive real fast.

My car isnt completely tuned yet my fuel pump and regulator are not installed yet and with my mods my car made 297rwhp and 324trq on the last dyno run.Im hoping to make just over 310 to the wheels when my car is completely tuned.so with similar mods to me and as much nitrous as you say you wanna spray i think 500 can be reached. If i were you though i would lean more to the blower rather than the juice.

Sweet numbers Built98GT.

97gtblue: If you are wanting to do a supercharger in the long run then go ahead and get the motor setup for the supercharger. The only thing is like tweekedgt said you will not make as much power N/A right now...cause the compression will be down a little bit to aid to the blower setup. But we can still make good power for you that isn't a problem. ON the bottom end it really comes down to money. If you have the money then I would recomend going with an stroker from VT. If you are wanting to save some money then we have a rotating assembly and some shortblocks that will be able to handle up to 800+HP and are a little cheaper than DSS. I would go with a dished piston (ROSS or Mahle is what I like using...they both are extrmely good pistons), Forged H-beam Rods with ARP 2000 bolts in them. ARP Main and head Studs, Brand New Hi-volume Oil pump, and I would say if you are wanting an 500-600 HP an stock 8 bolt GT crank can handle that prepped right. We have a couple running around now that have that same setup with that crank and haven't had any problems yet. But if you are wanting to make more power than that. Then we need to get you an Cobra Crank in there. If you need some prices feel free to PM me or call the shop. We got some killer pricing going on right now and we do help out any stangnet person aswell. But that is what I would recomend doing on the bottom end. ON the top end I would look at going ahead and Porting the heads put some comp cams Beehive valve springs in there and either VT stage 2 Cams or Comp Stage 2 Cams in. We can also do a set of Custom Billet Comp Cams aswell...that is the same price as the stage 2's. And after you got all of that we just need to get you all new gaskets, rear main seal, etc.. Hope that helped out a little bit. if you have any questions or need anything feel free to call or email or Pm me anytime. Good luck and have some fun with it.
