I was wondering if anyone had an idea on where to start to look for a 4v motor or where to start buying parts needed to get one built. I have a 97GT with about 97,000 miles on it and I think I'm starting to burn just a little bit of oil.

So in the mean time.... I was going to look at finding a block and start peicing parts together so when the Gt motor takes a $hit, or finish the 4v I can go ahead and drop it in.

I guess my main question is going to be where can you start to buy the parts like the timing cover, heads, valve covers, cams, intake, all the front brackets. I'm just needing a starting point for being able to find the stuff needed to build up a motor.

Don't count on your motor going anytime soon. Mine uses a quart every 2000 miles now but still runs strong at 180K miles. Numerous track passes and rev limiter bumps haven't slowed me down.

As far as 4V...Lincoln Mark 8's, Some Lincoln Navigators, 01 and older Cobras...check junk yards
