Does anyone have any published figures on the differences in dry weight between the 4.6L SOHC engine and the 4.6L DOHC engines?
I’m trying to settle an argument between a couple of guys on another board about which is heavier between an iron block 4.6L SOHC and an aluminum block 4.6L DOHC and I can’t find any of my old back issues that published their published weight difference. Even though the DOHC sports an aluminum block, I’m still remembering it being heavier than the SOHC because of the added weight of the second set of cams, chains, intake manifold, accessories, etc. But do you think I could find one single source of information that publishes their weight!?!
Just curious if anyone else had any other sources for their stats?

You might try www.fordracingparts.com. I know they always tell the weight of each product on there and they've got quite a few complete engines, including the GT500 and Ford GT motors
