4 bolt caster camber plates... who has them and which ones?

I'm thinking of doing the suspension next on my car and want a 4 bolt caster camber plate. I was set on steeda's set, but I haven't heard anything good or bad about them. I know MM also makes a 4 bolt set and I know MM's quality is top notch, but the steeda advertisement is working on me and making it look like a better choice.

I'd go with the steeda one's for the simple reason they look better. I'm sure the quality is the same as the MM one's. I went with the 3 bolt UPR's and am very happy with them.

I know steedas and MM are top notch, anyone here on now Pro3i 4 bolt CC plates are. I need a set of CC plates, I chewed through inside of my front tires last summer, I dont want that to happen again on a new set of tires.

My vote is for MM. I don't have experience with Steeda's, but I do know that some have mentioned about certain brands not clearing the stock hood well and causing a rattling sound.

I had most of my suspension stuff put on at the same time. After the alignment was done, I couldn't believe how nice the car felt. The alignment was dead on. The car is dead straight and absolutely no bumpsteer or other adverse things.

I've got the black MM's instead of the chrome ones, but they still look nice and way better than stock.

well as i know your plans for coil-overs i have to recomend 4 bolt ones no matter which brand you go with . i like my m.m. i just wish they were all chrome instead of just the one part?i like the ones your dad has but you know how much fun they were !

I have the Aluminum 4-bolt Steeda's on my Mach and installed the J&M 4-bolts (Pro3i style) on my Son's GT. Both work great and for adjustments they are the same.

I had ordered the Pro3i style 4-bolts first but they were on backorder at the time so I ended up getting the Steeda's. I do like the looks (see picture) of the Steeda's but I think for the cost difference of the 4-bolt Pro3i's from partshopper.com doesn't really justify the better looks.

I don't have experience with them my self I have a friend running the steeda's in his 99GT I personally like the Hotchkis ones.

runnin pro3i c/c plates, more adjustability than the steedas..an cheaper.. good stuff for like 97 buckks..got mine a while back tho..

I want the Hotchkis ones because they don't use steel bushings. I have the 3 bolt Steeda's right now and I don't like them. Very clunky over bumps.

another vote for the MM 4bolt CC plates- I would definitely agree with getting a 4 bolt setup if you plan to use coilovers.

I like my MM's. I am sure the Steeda's are a good product but i am not a big fan of aluminum especially when its supporting my car. I use to race BMX and dirt jump back in the day. I have seen to many aluminum bikes break and really hurt someone. I stuck to the steel bikes, heavier but more reliable. Granted this is a much different application but i put more trust in good old steel. I guess i am just biased twords steel

I love my M.M. plates, the griggs racing plates look awesome compared to any other plates I have seen!!!!! kinda pricy though.

Paul do yourself a favor and just go with the MM plates. I had UPR 3 bolts before and the MM plates are much better and I like the independent adjustment. Call Steve@ Houston Performance he has the best price (lower than advertised).

Regardless of the claims, I sure wouldn't be the first one on the block to use aluminum CC plates, 4 bolt or not, with coilovers. Griggs are the exception, but they're more like an aluminum brick than a plate. I'm using and recomend MM for coilover applications.

Thanks for the replies guys. I will say that my dad runs HPM 3 bolt ALUMINUM caster camber plates on his 91GT and that is what Jason at PA Racing recommended and what MANY of the racers use, so the aluminum doesn't scare me, but I do want the best I can get for my heavy ass car. I will do some more checking into some of the others mentioned here.

I welcome any more input.

I have the Steeda 4 bolts, but I think they are an older design. They are a gold color, not like the shny one they have now. I have never noticed any popping or noises from them, and I have autox'd & attended the road course multiple times.

I'm in the same boat I've already lowered my car and i have a set of new tokico illuminas on the work bench just waiting to be installed and i'm at a toss between steeda and MM. I'll probobly go with steeda. They look damn good and you cant go wrong with steeda.

I havent heard anyone mention the D&D 4 bolt plates. If you want a show engine, then go with steeda or UPR. They are very shiny and look great, etc. If you just want one for the simple fact of working, then D&D is a great choice. They are much cheaper than most and work GREAT. Tons of adjustablitity. They were easy to install and had great instructions come with them. good luck.
