I need help finding some Cobra R's for the rear of an '89 Notch.

I have FRPP 17x8's in silver for the front. They're a +15mm/5.15" wheel and I have 245/45's mounted on them.

I'm going to run 9's out back with a 275/40 tire, so I need a wheel with ideally a +18mm offset ... a 20mm offset will work, but that is at most.
Meaning no +24mm/5.95" offset wheels ... I don't want to run wheel spacers.)

Attached is a picture of the FRPP 17x8 wheels I have for the front (with centercap blacked out).

To the amateur, a Cobra R is a Cobra R ... but those of us with trained eyes can tell one Cobra R wheel from the next, just on appearance alone.

I'm looking for a Cobra R replica that most closely resembles this Ford Cobra R in all regards ...

Please help me find rear wheels with a 18mm offset to match my fronts

Here's most of what you asked for. The valve stem hole is not in the same relative location as your picture shows though.

Sorry for the rant ....

^^^

Thanks Dag ...
I looked at those guys already and they don't carry them in a 17" silver

I have yet to find any with the bolt holes lined up relative to the stem, the same as the Ford units are ... a patent or incompetence I don't know

I'm also finding many sites where they don't list the offset/backspacing ...
... then when you call you get some saleswoman that doesn't have a clue what you're talking about ......

... Or advertisers in our magazines that have inoperable websites .....
Or websites where they have a 5-lug picture shown for the advertised 4-lug wheel .... how hard is it to take a photo of the ACTUAL PRODUCT YOU ARE SELLING
Or like 50resto that flipped the photo negative of the FR wheel and photochop a different center cap and then label the flipped pic as the replica WTF ? ......
I want to know EXACTLY what the wheel looks like ... not what it kinda, sorta might look similar to

Some styles are more rounded on the spokes and some are just flat out wrong.
I thought replica would mean these dumbasses replicated the wheel exactly or at least damn, damn close to ...

Anyhow ... which of these do you think most looks like the FR wheel ?

First I'll say I like your avatar
My favorite show on tv

I've looked at ebay .. the bottom 2 pictures are off of ebay.
I think the last pic from Victoria Tire looks most like the FR pieces myself ...
... but their website only shows the polished/chrome finish, so I posted it up.
The salesman said the silver coated wheel looks identical structurally, but is that a fact

The valve stem is still not where ya want it though (meaning that the bolts holes are splayed different).

Holy crap !! .. I think you found 'em !! ...
... but I wonder what the offset would be

I called them and all he could give me was the listed 5.15" bs ...

I asked where they get them and he said "Performance Wheel Inc." ??
Whoever the hell they are.

Then after reviewing the charts on these two sites I'm still confused.
Check out the two charts on the second link ... a 9" wheel with 5.15" bs doesn't convert ... in my guesstimation a 9" wide wheel with a 5.15" bs would convert to about a +4mm offset I've never seen a 9" Cobra R with a +4mm offset

NO ONE will EVER replicate the REAL Cobra R wheels. Every single one posted so far are the ugly ones, and don't come CLOSE to the real thing. Yes some of these look ok, but nothing tops the real thing. the way the curve is perfectly shaped, and I haven't seen any other come close. Sorry.

4lug R's are garbage.. most replica's suck bad, especially the ones with the super broad arch between the spokes!

Go 5lug and don't look back..
