4 lugs and drag slicks?

Hey guys will the 4 lug bolt pattern on my car hold up to a set of drag slicks with 357 rwhp, but going to be around 450 in the spring. Thanks

it's the axle shaft you need to worry about.

keep the launches under 4k and you might be fine, use cheater slicks for extra insurance if you want. usually they will break loose b4 you break an axle

i've seen a lx run in the 9's with 4 lugs, moser axels...PB

i run 403rwhp on 4lugs and slicks. hope to push the motor close to 500rwhp by febuary

I agree the axle will break well before the studs, I ve seen 12 sec cars snap axles. Oh and be careful of running stock wheels with wedge style lug nuts, I managed to bend all four studs that way. If the lug holes start to get wallered(is there a correct spelling of that word?) out the rim will turn and bend studs! done it.
