I found a 408 windsor, It's a 71 block,Je piston around 11.1,steel 4340 forged crank eagle steel rods machined and blueprinted for around 450 hp it's on a engine stand never fired.
The guy wants 1800$ what do you guys think, should I get it.

Find out who built it, etc., and it may effect your decision, or the price point for you.

Veryify any reciepts if possible. BTW if that is everthing that you say, it is way more than 450 more like 550-650 depending on the cam/intake.

What do you want with the motor? Drag race? 11:1 is a lot of compression for the street. It may verywell be higher than that with the stroke.

If its brand new and even if its just a shortblock thats worth the $1800. If you do get it make sure to double check all celarances and torque specs. Plus add a Main Support System to it.

Be careful buying heads for it. You will have to get a set of large combustion chamber heads. They must have heads on it or planned on a certain size head to go on it to figure the 11:1 compression ratio?
