guys i need some help here,

i've found a 427 EXP, i'm not sure what year it is...i personally have not seen it, but my friend was able to peek under the car cover. I don't know what year it is, but its red w/black lettering for the 427 EXP. It's a fastback. That's really all i know for now...the owner is a fossil that used to work for ford at the plant...he's got a couple of 70 bosses-which i've seen- all original. He knows what they are worth. My questions are:

1. How/where can i find out more info. on the EXP?
2. Would they have titles or other documentation that should come w/it?
3. Were experimental cars generally crushed or disposed with?

best, paul.

1. info is out there but you have to dig some.
2. I'm going say no on the title cause they were not for public sale. There should be some documentation but more than likely it has been lost and long gone.
3. Experimental cars were generally crushed and scraped. Detroit Steel Tubing I'm pretty sure was teh company that had and still has the contract to despose of the cars. These exp cars were only used for testing and once they met the goal, they were sent out to be scrapped and crushed. If this car is in fact an exp car, I would want some sort of documentation to prove it. anyone can make a clone of a car or try to pass something off. You don't really hear of these cars comming up for sale. It would probly not be a good car for drving a lot but more of a collector part. plus I really doubt if you could title this car due to teh lack of VIN numbers.

if you get more info on this car as well as pictures, I bet we will be able to help you out more.

I will get more details. thanks for the info. i have my suspicions that the present owner was asked to dispose of this car way back when, and decided to drive it to his garage, and it's probably sat there ever since.

best, paul.
