429 in a 88 GT

i can get a 429 complete motor witha C6 trans, how hard would it be to put it inmy 88 GT???

they make kits, should be no problems. a 429 is the way to go instead of a 460, it revs faster and i have heard from somewhere that it makes more power but that may be certain years or maybe it was a 427

Oh ya? Why is that? A 460 is just a stroked 429.

the motor came out of a 70-73 mercury marqui.... does that matter?? and how is the c6 trans??

the c6 is a nice tranny and would be a good choice to use, not to mention that it is probably the only tranny you may have to use

You can use a Toploader or Tremec also. They make all headers, pan mount and everything you need to do the swap. I'm planning out the conversion also. Its fairly easy actually.
