My question is i have a 98 GT with a S trim vortech. I recently purchased 42lb injectors with a pro m MAF. I want to upgrade the boost on my car. I am going to get my car dyno tuned this weekend but the place is 2 hours away. Should i install the 42's and MAF or should i leave the 19's with the stock MAF? When i purchased the kit it didn't come with a chip nor any kind of injectors. I understand that i need to take of the FMU before i install the injectors any other things to do. Now, if i do install the 42's and MAF will the car make it to where i need to go or is something bad going to happen?? PLS help i only have a couple more days. Thanks Alot..

PS: I have a walbro 255 in take fuel pump does that need to be upgraded?

Your fuel pump should be fine. As for the injectors, could you do the swap at the dyno shop? I mean, it's just 2 bolts holding the fuel rails down, right? I'm not positive on where the MAF is located on the Vortech system, but changing the MAF should be pretty painless too. I'd recommend either doing your swaps there or getting a trailer.

good luck

IF you stay out of boost you can drive it till you get to the dyno shop but I wouldn't recommend going over 3k rpm's 2500 would scare me...once you get into boost you'll detonate all over the place cause those 19'' won't handle it along with your MAF.

If you put the 42's on now and the different MAF your computer won't know how to read it and will totally screw up your a/f ratio hell it might not even run. I would talk to your tuner or PM Cobra Killer for more info. I'd rather rent a trailer and trailer it up to the dyno shop cost of a trailer is nothing compaired to the cost of a new shortblock

If you have 42's you will not need a FMU.
Second if you are VERY careful .You can drive it on the stock injectors and maf.But think of this ANY boost can possibly kill your motor.

With the right tools a injector swap is not that bad at a dyno.Ive done that before(maf \injector swap).
