i have pulled the motor from 93lx and am getting ready to build my new 460 motor. please let me know what stock parts I can use to fit this in my car. It will be a budget build up for now. i heard late 70's 4x4 truck pans will work, what about motor mounts and trans? any cheap exhust?

Any C-6 trans wild hold up to a budget build up, and ExplodingGopher used regular exaust manifolds from a truck I beleive... Wait for him to chime in :D I know that FRPP sells swap motor mounts, but it is also easy to build your own mounts.

I used LT hooker super comp swap headers, frpp oil pan, and swap mounts.

Oh and BTW those race bullets i just put on are just the meanest sounding muffler ive ever heard, ESPECIALLY on this motor.

C6 is wide, some headers have an issue with ground clearance, there are some mid length headers available. C4 is much better as far as width is concerned. Use a small SN brake booster. I use a manual rack and motor plate. You can use a truck pan also. They sell for 100 from FMS with pickup and dipstick.

i still have plenty of room....... My exhaust is a complicated setup with electric cutouts, H pipe, back to race bullets and dumps. Best exhaust ive had on her so far, and i have 4 sets of mufflers for it.

Oh and im also using the STOCK brake booster and the TALL valve covers. I dont get why people make things more complicated than they have to be.

Not all headers are created equal for this swap for one and for two I run a motor plate as to be able to position the motor where I want and set some driveline angles. 557 inches and 900hp later:flag:

Im starting to look into this swap for my winter project.....are you running a points dizzy?? How is the clearance with the hooker headers?? i heard your cant get your hand in there...also heard you cant run a power booster with tall valve covers...and that you have to smash in the firewall. but your pic prooves that wrong. But i have a chance to get one for 300 with a weilland (sp?) intake already on it.....i think im gonna get it.
