also one more thing, my friend has a 4.6 litre V6, he and I are curious, what is that 3rd pedal for all the way to the left?

the v6 is a 3.8 and the v8 is the 4.6 the pedal all the way to the left if there are three then its the clutch if 2 then the gas so its either a manual or has had a automatic installed into it making the clutch pedal useless.

I have an extra pedal to rest my foot on in my 92 convert, but i dont think it used to be manual, i think its for.... resting...

Yeah, its just to put your foot on. Ya know when you stomp the gas with your right foot you need something to hold on to with your left, while the car is sideways.
