4r70w 2-3 accumulator spring

I have read lots, but everybody always said remove the spring. I have been told, by somebody local that that could cause a problem. Forgot what he said, but may make me lose 3rd gear.

I know jerry's instructions say remove it, but wanted to make sure nobody has had a problem.
