Has anyone seen what I have? If I pull out from somewheres and give the rocket a little throttle it surges and after a second pulls me back in the seat. This happens mainly in second gear. The car likes to take off in 2nd if I don't stop completely and this is when it happens. It even does it if I turn the traction control off. Acts like it don't wanna take off. Is this normal? Can anyone relate to my possible problem? :fuss:

Can you be a little more specific about the "throwing you back" part ? It is normal that somtimes when you floor the auto from a go, it wont really throw you back in your seat all that much. Has to do with lack of steep gearing and starting you out on too high of a gear.

Iguess that explains it. It usually happens when I give it gas before starightening out on the road. At first it acts like it's in the wrong gear, but never reshifts that I can tell. You can just feel the car pull afterwards like it has never-ending power. Thanks for the replies

Best mods for the automatic are:

Transmission cooler - without a doubt the most important thing for the auto. Heat is the number 1 killer of automatic transmissions. This mod will add life to your transmission and help keep it running at its best.
Torque converter - no less than 2800 stall
Gears - no less than 4.10s, preferably 4.30's
Shift kit - I recommend the Jerry mod shift kit. For more info, go to www.tccoa.com and read their articles on the 4r70w automatic transmission. Plenty of info. there.
