I think that is the best looking mustang with its "truck" suspension I have ever seen.

you think maybe he was on some crack and thought he was actually ordering like a set of Cragar S/S's and a lowering kit, but just said the wrong stuff maybe?

...hears distant banjo playing...

It's just SOOOO wrong. I can't stand it.

I once saw a 70s vette mistreated that way. That was amusing.

About 20 years ago I met someone who had taken a badly rotted 69 convertible, and stuck it on a jeep wagoneer frame. Didn't look too bad! Painted it Red, an eye catcher!

How do you do that with unibody cars? Do you just bolt the car onto the frame?

The entire JEEP chassis was used, including drivetrain. The Mustang body was gutted of all suspension, motor, etc, and electrical, steerintg, brakes, etc, were merged to work. Then the body was either welded or bolted to the Jeep frame. It didn't sit as high as the 65 posted above.

Use the body mounts on the 4x4 frame, and once the unibody is cleaned up, add some bracing, and then mount it to the body mount perches on the frame. Time consuming, but not terribly difficult. I've helped put a couple of XJ's on frames just like that.

You beat me to it. I was gonna ask Jay if that was a new kit they were offering. Maybe call it the "Ele4x4"
