I'm reworking the motor in my '86 Vert. I'd love to hear some imput from you guys. As it is, the motor is stock the only exception being that it's updated to MAF. I was thinking of going with the Twisted Wedge heads and a cam in the .550 lift range. Any suggestions on intake manifolds? What about injector size? I've read that 19lb. injectors are good for warmed up motors if you bump the pressure up, or should I keep the pressure down and go with 24lb.? How about TB, should I go with 65mm or 70mm?

Oh, and I know I'll have to change pistons to notched versions. Anyone know what the max lift is with the TFS heads and the flathead 87-93 notched pistons?

Hoping to draw from some experience from you guys to keep from :bang:

One last question: Will a WC T-5 hold up?

Thanks guys!

Hoping for ~ 350 rwhp.....hoping being the operative word.

well with everything you described, you will see maybe around 290 rwhp . If 350rwhp is what you want then youll need to get a stroker engine or a blower. either way, that is gonna cost you around 2k just for the shortblock or 2k for a blower. then you have to factor all the other supporting stuff that goes with either and that adds up price wise as well.
