In fact, with the hatch closed, there's really not that much room in the back for anything as you have to be careful that upon closing the hatch you don't break the glass. You don't have this problem with a trunk.

I dunno about breaking that glass fold thoose seats down and you can fit anything back there i use my Gt to haul my guitar Head and cab to shows and still have romm to spare. Ive slammed that back window off so many things and it hasnt broke. My hatch struts are factory also.

I'm biased for Notches..my old 93..

Actually, the hatchbacks have more storage room than the trunks.
hatch has 12.2 cu. ft. of storage
notch has 10.0 cu. ft. of storage
check out www.edmunds.com go to used cars, click research, then find mustang and click specifications on left hand side.

But if you are buying a mustang for that reason,.... you should really look into a minivan. Just my $.02

Name says it all. I've had been wanting a clean coupe since I was 12 (1992) when I seen a guy get picked up at school everyday in a then brand new 92 emerald green coupe. I now honestly have my dream car and have been loving it now for 2 yrs. (it was bone stock then). :D

I owned a '91 notchback, sold it, and really regreted it. Just bought another one and I'm never letting go of it. It's not as clean as Henceforwards' but I'm in the process of restoring it with a new paint job in the future (prob. dark silver metallic) and dropping a nice set of '98 5 lug Cobras.

I own a '93 lx convertible but I'm not into it as much as the notch's. I use it more as just a cruiser.

Don't get me wrong though, I love all the fox bodies. But if I had to get a GT or hatch, I'd stick with an LX hatch or go for the sweet looks of an '86 GT. Just something about the older fox squarelights, maybe they lack the body kit of the 87-93 Gt's. :D
