I,d like to ask all you 5.0 owners your experience with engine longevity of your 5.0 engines???
I got 218,000 miles its, still running good.
One thing i got it at 107,000 miles it always seemed to use a quart of oil every 800 miles or so.Its still using about that now.
Just tell me how many miles your engines have gone befor giving up??
Its a 5speed
Its all stock
I dont rev to 5500 very often

My engine has 220,000 miles on it, runs great, has good oil pressure and only uses about half a quart every 5000 miles.

So long as you have good oil pressure, it will run virtually forever.

I'm starting to think theese engines are almost indestuctible. I have a friend who had 298k when he installed his cam, intake, and vortech and that was a year ago and its still going strong!

I had to pass smog once a few years ago when I first put the engine in my car. So when I had all the emissions stuff hooked up it passed with a lot of room to spare. Since my car is at least 25 years old or older (28 to be exact) I am exempt from emissions testing here.
