I have a really dumb question for you guys this time. I was wondering if any body can tell me how many inches of lift the stock h.o roller cam in a 88 gt is? Also how much lift the stock springs can handle? Also what would be better to use, gt40 iron heads(off a pre 1997 explorer) or gt40p heads (off a 1997+ explorer) Also which one would be able to handle a f303 cam?

i would get GT40 heads because the GT40P stock headers or the current headers you have wont bolt up to it... and F303 can handle the current heads you have on now... also someone else will chim in on the other ? i don't know the stock lift is etc...

The .444 lift is with 1.6 rockers, which are stock. Just FYI.

Just spend the extra money on new valvesprings. You are going through all the trouble of a head swap and will be looking at major valve float past 4800 rpm. Do it right.
