I am doing some upgrades to the motor this winter. I picked up this intake from edelbrock.

I also picked up a 75mm throttle body from Rousch racing to put on this intake.

I need to build an adapter to connect the two together and the only thing I am not factoring in right now is the idle control and where it needs to go. Without using the stock intake I need to find some way to properly mount the idle control. Do I need to mount the idle control on the throttle body? Should I make a place on the throttle body mount to put the idle control? I know this might sound a little simple but I am just learning how this all comes together.

I am looking for some insight on how to make this all work together correctly.

Thanks for your advice!

Neither of these parts are easy bolt ons for a 5.0. The throttle body is actually for the wrong engine (4.6L), and the intake will mess up your stock intake duct path, so you're basically going to have to fabricate and re-route the whole thing.

If you're just hopping up a stock 5.0, you need to send both those things back and buy some different parts, otherwise you're making it too hard on yourself.

You pitting a 4.6l throttle body on a pretty exotic intake. What other mods are done?

If this is a stock engine, send the parts back and pick up a $75 explored intake and 65mm throttle body. Your gains will be about the same as the above setup if you made it work.

A complete mod lost would help here
