Gents -- it's actually 1/8" NPT (National Pipe Thread), which measures something like 3/8" across. You can run a 1/8"NPT tap into the existing dipstick tube hole on the side of the block and it'll take a thread (not a great one since it's not quite the right diameter for a 1/8"NPT thread, but good enough.) Go to Home Depot or the plumbing supply vendor of your choice and get a 1/8" NPT plug. You'll find that a 3/8" NPT plug is enormous and not what you want.:D
Not talking about an NPT threaded plug, but rather a press-in plug similar to a freeze plug. This press-in plug measures 3/8".

I don't understand how you managed to use a rear sump dipstick in a front sump pan. I know the Fox pan doesn't fit the old Stang suspension.

Trust me, if fits just fine. I've done it with a stock pan as well as with the chome Ford motorsport stock size oil pan. It wont work on oil pans that have a wider lip on them like the Canton or Moroso pans do.

I don't know if I posted about that but my headers were custom built by my friend. They are really bitchen mid length tri-y's. I've never seen anyone selling anything remotely close to what I've got. My friend I put the aod for is using a set of Ford motorsport headers. Those didn't clear the stearing box properly and we had to torch them and hammer 1 of the tubes a little for clearence. In all honesty, I have no clue which headers will "bolt right in".
