I am looking for a good suspension setup. I have an 88 5.0. I was thinking about using Strange adjustable shocks, and ebiach drag launch springs. If any one has had any experience with these items can you tell me how they are? Or if you have any sugestions on other products post them.

Thanks,
Dave

i think the perfect way to start your suspension is w/ the following....and from multiple setups i've had...this is the best

hpm mega bite jr lca's
poly bushing kit from energy suspension
kyb's (not even the adj. but if you want to spend the coin cool)
air bag the right rear coil...stock coil that is

keep the swaybars, keep the quads

the car will hook really well, and handle awesome...you can up further after that if you like...but this a cheap setup that makes a 200% difference in the hook of the car, and gives up no handling like a drag dedicated supension, it actually improves handling

DO NOT USE SOUTHSIDES...anything else do what you wanna do

What's your budget???

What's your goals???

I am guessing you are leaning towards a drag setup. First of all the big thing is replacing what's broken. I had a slipping traction-loc. Both wheels would peel but the right had a bias. I replaced about the whole suspension and still couldn't hook, I was a little irritated to say the least. Rebuilt the traction-loc and night/day. If the rear controll arms are stock, most likely the bushings are beat. Yes, you could just replace the bushings but let me tell you from experience with the cheap controll arm packages out there your much better off just replacing them with new one's. Bushing replacment isn't worth the effort because they were never ment to be changed out, so it will be more fight than worth it. I also have the HPM Megabite Jr lowers but also have the double adjustable uppers as well. The car handles and launches much better than stock. I am a strong supporter of coil-over conversions. I did the granatelli front coil overs on some 90/10 lakewoods. I was suprised when the car handled better than with stock springs and KYB shocks.

I've heard good reviews of the tockico kit, sells for about $400 on ebay and comes with shocks struts and springs.
