Yeah $160 plus $25 shipping. Not bad seeing as I sold my Prochamber and catted pipes for $225 shipped (waiting for the guys adress to ship them). I have heard the same so Im hoping it will be loud...

My car was never quiet (LTs, Prochamber, Mac catback) but it never sparked my interest. Got the prochamber by accident (needed a midpipe and MU didnt have off road Hs) and the catback was free. I finally have a set up I planned out and want, so it better sound mean.

As far as more power, who knows. Im not expecting it, but it would be nice!

Yea Ive just read some flow chart numbers on the spintechs and they out flow lots of mufflers, but I doubt youll feel a difference, I went from flowmasters to bullets, and the car did rev faster, (as if the flows were holding it back) because I took it to 6krpm without realising it when I hit it, but I doubt youll notice it any faster. Changing my exhaust setup was one of the best things I could have done, I got really sick of my exhaust, and changing the exhaust and hearing it start up for the first time it honestly feels like you have a whole new car.

Yeah I have done that before. Went from stock with dynomac mufflers to a flowmaster catback and loved it. Then added a catted H pipe and again liked the way it sounded although it was quiet (I was 16 at the time). Then went with long tubes and the prochamber and thought it sounded great but again thought it was quiet. Then switched to the Macs and really noticed no difference in the car and thought it was quiet till I had my friend drive the car! Then I realized it was pretty loud. Lately I have had two catted pipes instead of my mid pipe, and the car was actually louder and a much different tone than the Prochamber. It almost sounded similar to the 05/06s I heard with exhaust, which I liked, but the car actually felt slower (knocked the timing back some as well).

So today it will go from open long tubes (loud but I dont care for the sound) to the X and spintechs! Gonna install it in about an hour, so Ill try and get some videos up for anyone interested!

I got my exhaust on today, and it definately sounds more 4.6ish than before. If streetfire would optimize it Ill make a new post and post it up!

Longtubes, prochamber and mac catback can get a modular sound.

A couple exhaust packages on a 5.0L can sound like a 4.6L if your not real familiar with the different sounds.

Prochamber will do it...

In order to get a 5.0 to sound like a mod motor you must change the heads to aluminum. All the headers, mid pipes, and mufflers in the world will not give you that sound if you still have iron heads. All my 5.0 friends wanted their cars to sound like my old '02 GT. We all had the same exhaust (off-road H and flows, long tubes on one 5.0 and shorties on the other, my car had the stock manifolds). When I put H/C/I with Edelebrok heads on their cars they got much louder and sounded almost the same as my '02.
If you what you 5.0 to sound like a 4.6 get aluminum heads. I think it may have something to do with the density of aluminum vers. iron.

5spd thats kind of funny. I went from long tubes, prochamber and mac catback to the vrs x pipe and spintechs and it definately sounds more 4.6ish than it did before. Its a little louder and definately raspier (which I was looking for). If these mufflers break in, the cars going to scream!

I am posting a new thread with a vid. Crappy vid, but what I got today!
