Hey whats up guys? I've got a 94 Mustang GT w/ 38k miles on it. The only add ons i currently have are: offroad h pipe, magnaflow cat back, cai, and b&m short throw. I have somewhere around $5-6k to spend and I'm looking for a good 450-500hp. If possible i would like that power and a T56 trans at the same time, but i know this is most likely unrealistic for the money. Recently i came across a early 90s bronco that my dad's friend is selling. He offered it to me for $500 including a new transmission that hasn't been installed. The bronco has a 5.0 so an idea came to mind. What if I took the 5.0 out of the bronco, rebuilt it with a 347 stroker kit and then swapped that engine in my mustang and the mustang 5.0 into the bronco. I figured if i did this then i would have the power i want and at the same time have a bronco with a low mileage 5.0 and brand new trans to drive in the winter. Now my only concern with that was if I would get the power I'm looking for and if the stock block will handle that kind of power after being rebuilt with high performance forged internals. Do you guys think this is a good idea or should i just go for a preassembled block? I just figured if i did what i stated above that then i would be able to have both the T56 and some nice power for $5k. My original idea was to go with a turbo kit but i like the feeling of raw NA power and now i would have the correct parts to handle the power i want instead of taking the risk of damaging something. What do you guys think?

get a built short block w/ an upgraded block and throw a turbo kit on it. that will be all your money right there but you will need to beef up your drivetrain with that kind of power.

For your goals I would get a good h/c/i combination with the engine thats in there now along with a supercharger. Vortech has good deals now as well as the good deals you can find on used kits. That along with some methanol to not worry about pinging and you will have a lot of hp. Then there is the issue of the drivetrain. The rear end will be fine, especially with some upgraded axles, but the transmission could pose a definite problem.

Yeah i would definately like to have that kind of power with my engine that i have now, but i have a feeling that my transmission wont hold up cause I already notice 3rd grinding occasionally when shifting into 3rd. This is my daily driver and I'm looking to run somewhere around mid 11s as a reliable daily driver. $6k is the maximum i can spend
