Good job Bill, a little hard work should pay off nicely for you in the end.

Dryer hose is good for so many things.....looks interesting to say the least....is it worth the effort?

thats looks really good.....hope it all pays off in the end!!

but, you might have some trouble tig welding that thin aluminum..bring the sharp parts of the edges together and you will have a better loooking finished product!

bet that plenum saved a lot of room too, does it flow that well w/ all those squarish angles? Seems like a lot of tq sacrifice for hp gains, but i guess that pays off in the 1/4

Interesting design! You might wanna invest in a powdercoating gun http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=94244 then go buy an old/cheap electric oven from salvation army or a used appliance place - will make your pieces look OEM and have a nice even finish (plus it protects the metal, and will last ALOT longer than paint).

You should spray for the track, that would be AWESOME

of course it's ugly.

it flue gas hose not dryer hose. heavier duty.

it will have to do until i figure out something to look better. i need dyno number for now. better looks come with better dyno numbers. why make it pretty if it fails to perform?

the shape has little to do with dynamics. the inside is 1/4" thick and shaped like a trumpet. good enough. certainly better than the stinkin PP elbow?

if it fails RR plates and 4.6 3v intake is up next. that will work.

ok i finally went to the track with exactly the same setup as this spring with the twin 57 on it. conditions were pretty much identical. 72 degrees RH 68%.

03/30/2007: 60'-2.1028 330'-5.9690 594'-8.56 1/8th-9.1520 @ 77.29mph

10/30/2007: 60'-2.1030 330'-5.8930 594'-8.44 1/8th-9.0109 @ 79.09mph

i have to lift for the 2-3 shift to avoid the limiter so the mph is off. with a program fix i expect 2 mph more
