I'm about to deploy again to Iraq, so it's about time to collect some more play $$$.
The one definite is that I know I need a truck when i get home, so i will be picking up a Lightning when I get back.
The thing is this, a friend and I were spit-ballin ideas for the mustang and he came up with this, swapping motors between the lightning and the stang. This was his idea because I said i'd like to build a 5.4 for the stang. His thinking is, why have a truck that is right off the bat faster than the stang. Swap the motors and have a bad ass stang, while waiting for the built 5.4 to come in.
1st: Is this even possible? I know they are both modular blocks and I would think it'd fit. Exhaust/intake plumbing would need to be custom, and a beefier drivetrain and fuel system installed.
2nd: Do you think it's worth it? I love to work on cars, so poppin a engine in and out wouldn't bother me.
Just hopin to hear someones ideas on this.
