5 lug conversion on 90' stang

Hello, my brother just bought a 90' conv LX. I have some mustang wheels for him to put on the car, however they are five lug wheels. I was wondering, what all would I need to convert his car to a 5 lug? Information appreciated.

There are 2 ways to do it. One way is cheaper thanthe other. The more expensive way gives better brakes. The cheap way just changes to 5 lug.

To decide which will work we would need to know what wheels you have, or want to use.

Also have you tried searching? Their are many threads about this already.

If you want to go the cheap route (which there is nothing wrong with doing) you can get a 5 lug conversion kit from 5.0 resto www.50resto.com for $399.99.

This kit comes with 2 front rotors, 2 rear drums, 2 axles, 2 inerr/outer front wheel bearings, 2 grease seals, 2 bearing and seal kits, friction modifier, and 3 bottles of gear oil for lubrication purposes.

I have considered going this route when I do my conversion. Although some do it another way by going 4 wheel disc break conversion at the same time..but that can run you over $1,000.00

Im gonna probably go the 50resto way myself. I just like the options with 5 lugs as far as wheels go and my car stops good enough as it is for daily driving purposes.

would help if we knew hat type of wheels you are putting on. The 50resto ones might not work with your wheels so you might have to run a sn95 spindle/hub assembly.

I can see it. Those look good on the fox body cars and you will need the SN95 setup to run them.

You can get the front spindle, rotor, caliper assemblies from www.stangparts.com for not much money (here) $369.00 and use the Ranger rear axles to run those if you want to get the better front brakes that let you run those wheels and swap the rear brakes later when more money allows.

no, somebody on here did the 50resto one, and he used aftermarket bullets and they fit fine (he may have had spacers??)
