im a little rusty but the offset is the distance from the mounting point to the inside edge....right?
I went to the basement and they measure 5.5"
edit: NOPE offset is to the centerline of the wheel so.....8" x .5 = 4" (centerline)...so offset is 1.5" right?

I'm not sure i get it....but ok
i dunno you asked for the offset and i got 1.5" when i measured
No I think i get it now, so that means that 1.5 of the rim sticks out past the mounting point right?
no...the 1.5 offset means 1.5" to the center line of the rim so it is 5.5" from the back edge to the "plane" of the mounting point, and thus on a 8" rim....2.5" will stick OUT (towards the fender) from the mounting point
like on that little wheel diagram i posted it is 5.5" from the back to that orange line and 2.5" from the orange line to the front of the rim.
the OFFSET, or the space between the center line (dotted) and the orange line is 1.5" POSITIVE because the mounting point is more towards the front of the rim..
at least that is what my research has come up with lol....somebody correct me if i am seriously wrong
its usually measured in mm i think too..
