5" tac install need help ASAP!!!

Ok i have a auto meter 5" tac(sport comp) and it was on the dash , I have bought the dash pod that holds the tac and two other 2 5/8 gauges( elec. oil/ elc water)

what I need to know is what are the wires coming off the back of the tac,,, there is :

green
white
black
red

can someone help me on this ,,, also if one of them is the IGN can't i just hook both of the other gagues ign wirer to the tac's ??? same with the GND wirer??? Please get back asap as I am working on it right now..

green - to coil (negative side) or MSD box
white - 12v dash lighting
black - ground wire
red - 12v ignition switch (+)

so I can hook the GND to the black wirer? and waht about the ign ,,, where can I install that ???

the ground is the black wire. hook it to whatever as long as it grounds it.
the ign wire goes to the coil. not sure what side, just take one off, put it on, if it fires, thats the right one.

ok I am good with the gnd ,,, but I am still not sure what to hook the ign to ,, this is how I have it set upi right now ,,, I have the 5" tac ,,, elec oil , elec water ,, now I have the black and white wirers on the oil/water gauges hooked up to the white and black of the tac. I now am going to hook the GND wires on both the oil/water to the black on the tac to take care of the gnd.. Now the Tac was already installed in the car when I bought it so it up and running .. I now just need to know what I should hook the IGN wires too off the oil/water gauge ?????? sorry for the same questions but want to do it right and not half a@@ !!!

You can use any decent circuit which shows 12 volts with the key on (dead key off). One could use something in the neighborhood, a circuit in the fusebox, the yellow ignition wire under the column, etc. Personal preference.

If using a fuse, seems to me that fuses 5, 9, 11 should all work, et al. Just use your test light and pick a fuse or wire (if getting power elsewhere) that makes sense. A tach has almost no draw.

You can splice the white in with your headlights so when you turn them on it lights up. It will also dim. I hooked mine up to the fuse box. Green to negative side of coil. Use a little nail to take the wire out of the stock connector then splice them together and put it back in the connector.
