50 Foot Pounds On Rocker Arm Bolts!???

Ok guys, the hanes manual calls for 18-25 ft pounds. The company that is sending me out the new head said to tighten the rocker arm bolts to 50 ft pounds!!!

Anyone have experience with this that can give me some suggestions?

My AFR's called for 60 lb-ft with studs. Looking at the sheet right now.

Also, they think the rocker arm bent the push rod and snapped the bolt because it might have not been torqued enough..at least that's their theory.

You talking about rocker studs or setting the lifter preload with pedistal rockers??? Sounds like your confusing the two.

I went 60 ft/lbs on my arp rocker studs for my trickflow heads. I used antiseize on the threads.

I don't have studs. I don't know what pre-load is or if I have to do it..maybe my cousin (mechanic) will know better tomorrow..I am just asking about rocker arm bolts.
