56K warning Lots of pictures! Swapping a '67 Radiator Support into a '66

Iskwezm, Lets see some pics of how it turned out! I like the idea of stock apperance, but I'm doing a restomod. Also, the gain in clearance would be nice.

I dont know how much strength i lost, but with the monte carlo bar, it should make up for any "weakness"

I really dont think what I cut out has affected or is gonna affect and twisting in front of the engine.The strut rods go to the "crossmember" of the lower core support,correct???That was untouched,just the raised portion of the sheetmetal.If it did, with the power it making, i would seen body alignment problems or worse.
Anyhoo, i dont have the time or patience to replace the core support, although i did think about before i cut mine, and after seeing your pics, im glad i didnt.I wouldve never finished it

If you look closely at the following pic, you can see where I cheated when I swapped the radiator support. I bought the support without the front frame connector and rather than mess with the the holes that the wiring passed through and with trying to get the old layer off, I simply overlapped the support about in the middle of the frame connector. Made for a good place to weld and the work is entirely hidden by the radiator and the battery:
I use a curved to clear the added height of the 393w. As mentioned, the curved Monte Carlo does little to nothing for support. It looks really, really cool though:
