6.0L HCI for my Suburban

I'm zeroing in on some upgrades for the Suburban. Here's what I 'think' I've got so far:

This Summit Stage 1 cam has a max .500 lift while the Stage 2 has a Max .600 lift:

Dyno tests that I've seen show a very flat torque curve which is what I'm looking for but I'm no cam guru.

Things I still need to choose:

Intake
Injectors
ECU
Exhaust
Torque converter
Roller rockers(?)

...and whatever else I'm not thinking of at the moment.

It's a 2003 so, no ty electronic lifters.

Nothing wrong with the heads, but if you are going to tow, that stage 2 cam might be a bit much.
Listed operating range is 3K to 7K rpm.
Stay away from short runner intake manifolds.

You have any intake recommendations?

I feel ya about the cam. I'll be looking at some more dyno vids. I don't need a peak HP number. I need gut wrenching torque production and a matching torque converter.

Short runner intakes (like the one above) make great high rpm power at the expense of bottom end torque.

That's one is in the "middle". They have shorter and taller.

If I do a blower, it will be a PD blower.

Instant 1000+ ft/lbs on pump gas.

Sorry, been a minute since I was on here.

So I have built quite a few LS cars over the last several years and my 09 Denali does have some stuff and here is what I learned:
If I were to redo my Denali today I would have done it different, I did a stage 2 cam and its too damn lumpy. TSP Stage 1 would have been better. My 3800 stall is too much. Wish I would have kept the stock exhaust and just went long tubes. Truck makes 440 RWHP with the following: TSP STage 2 Cam, Volant intake, Johnson Lifters, Circle D 3800 stall, custom tune, Gibson exhaust. Truck does 0-60 in 4.9 seconds, runs a 12.9 in the quarter and runs out of power to overcome the aero at 147MPH.
If I were to redo it I would go stage 1 cam, Johnson lifters (his is the way), same intake, stock exhaust, Hooker long tubes and same tuner. Truck would make same power but be smoother and quieter.
That would be perfect for what you want.
One day I hope to add a PD blower for it.

Also, I have no issue with traction because I run Michelin PS4s

I am under the impression that the only thing I need to really look for in a stage 1 cam is one that makes use of the available lift in the new heads and springs.

Is this correct?

If you are doing a cam, get Johnson lifters and trunion upgrades. I wouldnt do heads unless you wanna make over 1000hp. Stock 5.3 heads flow more than enough already. I would do a blower long before heads.
