when we first start my GF's 01 it gives a disk error message on the face and wont play or eject the cd's in the head unit. this is the factory 6 disk cd changer head unit on a 01 with the shaker system. Is there a reset button on the thing or maybe a button that will manualy eject the disks?
Are you using burned CD-Rs? I know with mine and my friends that when we use CD-Rs that they wont eject, it tries but fails. I have to use tweezers to get them out sometimes. I dont think there is a manual button but maybe disconnecting the battery for a while might reset it.
had that problem with mine...i hit the eject cd and the tray #, then stuck a small butter knife under the cd and pried gently up and down until it came out....shortly thereafter I scrapped the Mach 460 Head Unit...it's junk, and the sound from it sucks.
My family has had 5 New Edge stangs and all of our radios have went out. They are awful I dont know why Ford didnt fix the problem right when it started.
