I have one large on the fact that none of these S281's can actually finish the event without some kind of serious mechanical failure.

that was my thought too.
Maybe saleen should sub out the engine and rear work, and concentrate on the suspension and body.

...If 25 were built for the race and one set aside for the "winner", only 1 out of 24 cars need to finish the race for you to owe me one large?? I'll take that bet, but we need to classify: one large what??

Marcus, hopefully they will be letting their best builders make these engines, instead of the usual guys.

Also, look out, you might get kuru on the cannibal run!

Nice.

robert. I'll give you those odds. I don't think even one could finish.

Saleen has "good" engine builders???????

Yeah, they sit right next to the good painters. Both groups worked on my car.

Right.

You are totally correct!

How many people after buying a new car get a letter in the mail that tells them......don't worry about the "diesel" sound of the motor. It's "normal".

Hell yea it's normal.

Sorry to hear about your hood peeling. Hopefully they take care of that for you. Too bad you can't say just give me the cash instead and take it to someone that knows what they're doing.

Yeah no kidding. I'm 50/50 on if I even take it in to Saleen or just live with it as is.

Hey Dot -- Is this about your hood problem? Didn't that ultimately turn out to not be the result of a defective paint job?

Correct. I guess I didn't close the loop here. The paint issue is someone raised the hood while the wiper was up. That someone could have been me or who knows who.
