Finally got out to 1/8 mile track last weekend and had a blast. The car ran 7.41 @ 91.48 mph. My best 60ft time was 1.558. I thought this was a pretty good 60ft time because I had a better 60ft than anyone I raced that day, including a Chevelle than ran 7.07 but only had 1.593 60ft. Would some of you post your 60ft times so I can have something to compare to, because a buddy of mine says that a 1.558 60ft is slow.

Not a bad 60"....and certianly not slow.. Was that on slicks or DR's?? If that was on drag radials then it was a dang good 60'.. If slicks then, that isn't bad but, you should be able to squeeze into the 40's..

I cut a 1.62 on 17" (stickey) Micket T drag radials..

That was on 26x10 slicks at 12psi. It certainly didn't feel slow.

Just talked to the guy who called my time slow and he said that his car cut a 1.23 60ft. I'm not sure about the 60ft time but I have seen his car go 5.48 in the 1/8th. I guess mine is slow compared to his, but I'm still proud. I haven't stoppped smiling since I left the track. Thanks for posting guys. Anyone else with 60ft times please post.

He claims that 1.23 was his 60ft. He may be full of BS. He hasn't shown me a time slip. I'm beginning to wonder if my car has 3:55's with that kind of 60ft time. The guy I bought it from said that he put in 3:55's. I am squirting 150 out of the hole.

1.23 60ft sounds right for an 5.48 1/8 mile time. My dads car has 1.28 60ft with 5.84@120 1/8 mile

What is your car set up for?? His must be a strip car... With a 1.23 sixty and mid 5's in the 8th, he must have a nice set-up. That's getting down the track with a purpose..

If you do have 55's, you might benefit with some steeper gears. I run 55's..My 1.62 was with 55's, AOD, and flashing the converter.

That's a real good 60 ft time. My best is 1.86, and it's running 7.70's in the eighth on a 100 shot.

A car that runs 1.2 sixty foots should be a well set up full tilt car. That takes lots of power, suspension and traction. A 5.48 eighth is hauling.

From what you are saying, I guess I need to try the 125 and 150 jets!

My car is setup for track only. I am slowly getting the car ready for a motor that will put me in the low 6's and nitrous to the 5's. I plan on just spraying the piss out of this motor for the rest of the year or until it breaks. Yes his car is a strip only car. He has a 408 and nitrous. Not sure how much he is spraying though.

I've pulled a 1.63 but I generally pulled mid-high 1.6s on my old combo. I raced 1/4 so I don't remember my 1/8 times, but they were at 93mph. My friends car cut a 1.53 last time out and trapped 101mph in the 1/8. So I say you're doing a good job with a less powered car.
