Hi i am going to be receiving a 64 1/2 Ford mustang from my grandparents, i was 7 when i asked her for it and she said in time i will get it, its been about 13 years now and she would drive it about once or twice a month to keep it clean, its blue, no sun damage and no rust. It also has all white leather interior with no cracks or stains. V6 engine,There is possibly 69,000 miles on it. the radiator i believe was the only thing that was replaced everything else is still all original again no rust or any leaks, also its a manual. Im 22 and live in AZ so it could be a little brutal for an old car to be out in this heat. I wouldnt have time to keep up on its prestine condition so i was wondering how much the value of this one of a kind Mustang. i do not have pictures, but will soon have some avail in the next couple of days. She is in texas and its been garage kept all these years. only serious answers please.

Hi,
First, it's either going to have an "inline" 6 cylinder, if indeed a 6. Or, if you mis-typed, a V8, in which case it's either a 260 or 289 cu. in. So, what makes you think it's a 64.5? Also, the interior is vinyl and not leather. However, there were a "run" of early mustangs given to the execs, that were outfitted with "real leather" interiors. I have owned my May 1964 built cvt w/289 V8 for almost 30 years. You might ask for the inner fender VIN code so it can be verified. To get a better idea of the value you should get more details and a list of whatever factory or dealer added accessories are included. If a simple 6 cyl coupe with 3 speed, no frills, with an "exemplary body and interior", you might get $7-10K, it depends on your local market.
My comments are not meant to insult, but, to better inform, in case you go to advertise it.
Good luck!

Wait a second. You are about to inherit a prestine 64 1/2 Mustang from your Grand Parents that you have been waiting for, for 7 years and your going to sell it. Do your Grand Parents know that?

spirockp,
Except for the statement he made about waiting 13 years since he was 7 and he's now 22:shrug: your thoughts were similar to mine. Truly seems an insult to the Grandparents to sell a vehicle that they saved for him for so long for just a few $$$$ that will get piddled away on, ?????????
Just my $.02,
Gene

Yeah sorry i meant 15 years. But yeah she has lived in texas so ive only seen it a couple times. And yes she knows about selling it she actually wants me to because of the city i live in, it has a high gta rate. She told me its a v6 i guess means its a .6 then? Yeah dont have that much info on it i just take her word when she says its all orginal.my uncle has an auto shop and did confirm it is a 64.5. I agreed to sell it cause i live paycheck to paycheck so if anything were to happen to it i wouldnt be able to repair. As for the leather it could be vinyl. But she insists its leather with the orginal white steering wheel. The reason i posted was because a guy was willing to buy it off her for 15k
