What is the best advice for sticking an under dash AC in a 64.5 convertible? I thinking I want something that looks original. The car as the 289 4v with power steering.

Figure I want something that looks like original with the new refrigerant?

Restoring the car now and trying to stay original, but maybe changing the front brakes to disc and getting rid of the single bowl for the brakes.

Also I am a little confused on the engine bay. Is it supposed to be black block and valve covers?

Classic Auto Air makes a complete kit that looks like the original. NPD sells it for just over $1k.

Engine bay itself is a satinish black. Engine block would be Ford blue along with the valve covers.

in 64.5 the 260s and the 5 bolt 289s had black blocks with gold valve covers, or they were Ford red. The Ford dark blue didn't come around until the 6 bolt block.
