65 Coupe Glove Box Size

My car is in the shop, or I wouldn't be asking this.
Would someone please measure the inside of the glovebox on a 65 Coupe (length x width x height)?
I'm looking into audio options and may need to house the head unit inside the glove box. The head unit would be approx 8.5 in x 8.5 in x 2.5 in.

im not sure about the size of the glove box, but theres plenty of room for a single din radio or even a double din radio. I removed the liner, made a board to hold the radio and a 1/2 din eq.You could also mount the radio only and buy one of the plastic pockets used for OEM applications when replacing a radio.

You could also get a "normal" headunit, like a pioneer and use this CD-MR80D - Wired Marine Remote Control with Display | Pioneer Electronics USA

I use that on my boat and my trailer.I just use a wirless remote and IR repeater in the fastback.I dont need to see the radio, so the glove box door is closed usually.

That's $150 for the wired remote. I can get the whole Clarion CMS 1 for $190, head unit and remote.

tru, but your also stuck with that Clarion unit.The Pioneer can be used for ANY Pioneer radio.Theres no way i paid that much, I think i got it for about half that.

If I can get 5-10 years out of the Clarion that'll be fine. I'll be about ready for the choir invisible by then.
