Hey,

I had another question in regards to a 65 mustang EFI conversion. I have been doing some digging around and I decided to run a 69 mustang gas pedal. My question to you is what throttle cable do you run? On some forums I was told to cut off the tip off the tip of the pedal and replace with one from a fox guy on the phone said to stick with the 1969 pedal however, use Lokar throttle cables. So I got on the phone with Lokar and they said to use part numbers TC1000HT and TCB40EFI. Does this sound familar to anyone? Also for the fuel pump I have decided to stick with the stock gas tank, however, which in line fuel pump do you guys recommend? I was told the BBK 255lph would be good, but I don't know how quiet that model is?

Thanks

You can use a stock Ford throttle cable.

Can't help you with the cable question, the EFI I used is not at all like the conversion you are doing.

I did use this fuel pump, Walbro GSL392, it is quiet, small enough to fit where I wanted it to go, and wasn't very much money. See here for the pump, http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com/ There are photos of the pump mounted on my car on my CarDomain pages. I used a fuel filter and the filter bracket from a Windstar. I ran a new plastic supply line up along the right side frame rail, I cut the original steel line off just before it bends down to connect at the fuel tank. I used a compression union and another piece of steel line with a fitting and connected this to the drain plug on the tank. This serves as the return line. I mounted my regulator just below the master cylinder and routed the return down to what has become my return line.

A second positive vote for the Walbro GSL392. I bought mine as a Holley 12-920, but it's the same pump (even says Walbro on the side). It's quiet and, so far, more reliable than the other pumps I've tried (stay away from the T-rex pumps, based on my experience). I mounted mine just in front of the fuel tank, and incorporated a surge tank as well (but that's a whole 'nother story).

I used a Windsor Fox adapter, Fox mustang pedal and a stock Ford EFI cable, fwiw, and they work fine.

Yeah BBK called me back, and the tech on the phone said no to use the BBk pump. At least he was honest. What do you guys think of the MSD PN 2225 in line fuel pump, it's rated of 43 gph at 40 psi? Any past experiences?
